Welcome to the bobbin lace section of The Craft Corner – home to a growing collection of original lace patterns and threads, carefully chosen for both beginner and experienced lacemakers.
Designed by Louise Woodward under the Lou Woo name, each lace pattern is thoughtfully developed with clear instructions, quality prickings, and beautiful results. With over two decades of lace-making and teaching experience, Louise’s designs are ideal for building confidence, mastering new techniques, or simply enjoying a peaceful and creative craft.
Whether you’re making lace for personal enjoyment, gifts, or exhibitions, you’ll find something here to inspire your next project.
This category includes a wide range of downloadable and printed bobbin lace patterns, as well as selected thread packs for specific designs:
Each pattern includes a clear pricking and full instructions, often with tips from Louise based on years of teaching the design in person. They’re ideal for independent learning or as a follow-on from one of Louise’s lace taster sessions or classes.
Louise’s work is regularly featured at events such as the Tonbridge Lace & Threads Fair, and many of the patterns have been tested and refined in workshops and one-to-one sessions.
